Learn About Our Tax Business
Kathy Hewitt started the small practice at home after graduating from Northeastern Oklahoma State University. We have several full and part-time staffers now and have a good reputation in the community.
The community has contributed significantly to the success of our firm. Kathy has been involved with many volunteer organizations. She has also formerly served as the mayor of Muskogee in the past.
Kathy's son, Mike Hewitt is also actively involved in the community. He joined the firm following his graduation from the University of Oklahoma. He became a non-CPA partner in the firm in 2013.
Kathy Hewitt CPA, LLP is proud of producing quality services. You can choose us to prepare various services including tax returns. We look at the entire financial picture of our clients which is what a certified public accountant does.
Such quality services are rare in the firms and national franchises that only prepare tax returns and close their doors once the tax-filing deadline ends.
Maintaining certification as a Certified Public Accountant requires one to keep learning continuously. CPAs must complete 40 hours of CPE every year to maintain their license.
Firms must undergo peer review by another CPA firm once every three years. A peer review aims to maintain excellence in the profession, network with the review firm and identify areas of improvement.
The firm maintains memberships with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants. Call the staff at Kathy Hewitt CPA, LLP today!
